"Mario Movie Theme" (The Super Mario Bros. Movie)

"Superstars"[1] is a musical theme in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, where it plays as Invincible Mario and Luigi face off against Bowser's Minions and Bowser himself. It most prominently is an orchestrated arrangement of "Invincibility BGM" from Super Mario Bros., though it also quotes "Ending" from Super Mario Bros. as a countermelody. "Mario Movie Theme" is also quoted, while quotes of "Fireworks" from Super Mario Bros. 3 and "Ground BGM" from Super Mario Bros. conclude the theme.

According to sound designer Jamey Scott, Brian Tyler had to fight to include "Superstars" in the film over the Van Halen song, Jump.[2][better source needed]
