Chapter 1

ヨッシーピザ - 30ふんほん勝負しょうぶ! (Yossy's Pizza - 30-Minute, 1-Player Game)

Yoshi just opened his own pizza shop, Yossy's Pizza, and Mario and Princess Peach are there to help him. In a matter of minutes, the first orders rings in: it is Lakitu from the fourth district. While taking his order, Yoshi reminds that if the Pizza is not delivered in 30 minutes, he will not have to pay, but Lakitu makes him notice that the pamphlet states differently: because of a printing error, the pamphlet states that if the pizza is not delivered in 30 minutes, the entire shop closes. Yoshi is in panic mode, but Mario and Peach are ready to help him and organize: Yoshi will take care of delivering the pizzas and Mario and Peach will cook them. In 10 minutes, the pizza is ready and, about to sprints out, a Sumo Brother enters with a package, claiming it to be flowers from the Mushroom King to celebrate the restaurant inauguration.

Peach and Mario opens it, but the content is a giant Volcano Lotus that spits Bloobers, Boos, Goombas, and Piranha Plants which will explode if they land on a hard surface. After four of them explodes, damaging the restaurant columns: one more explosion and the entire place will come down. Mario realizes that the package is from Bowser, whose face emerged from one of the Lotus' petals: he is inside the flower, ready to toss more explosive minions at them and ruin them. This time, the next batch of enemies lands in the dough on the plates, where they remain without exploding. With a solution figured out, Mario and Peach grabs two plates each and start stacking falling enemies on the plates, but Bowser reminds them that if they continue to stack up, they will explode on the ceiling. Luckily, the two discover that if two enemies of the same species are stacked up together, they will vanish and gain control of the situation, until the phones start to ring with more orders.

Meanwhile, Lakitu's order is revealed to be a deception: the Koopas are making sure Yoshi takes longer routes by blocking important roads, and Lakitu even follows him, even making rain on him. After 19 minutes of walking in circles under the rain, Yoshi spots Lakitu thanks to a puddle and gives him the pizza, just in time, unfortunately, unaware of his surrounding, Yoshi steps off a cliff. Back at the pizza place, Mario and Peach are still struggling to defend the building from falling minions, when a Yoshi's Egg rolls inside. Yoshi's voice comes from inside the egg, explaining he was defeated and turned into an egg. Angry, Peach yells at him so loud the egg rolls against a wall and cracks, revealing no one inside it.

Bowser makes them notice that the pizza dough in their plates is melting. While Mario and Peach run to exchange plates, Peach slips up and the stacks of enemies she was carrying lands on her bottom, preventing them from exploding. Yosshīdamusu enters and informs Mario that, in order to resurrect Yoshi, he needs to "put Bowser's minions in the center of it," then leave. Having got an idea, Mario throws his stacks in the air, runs to grab the eggshells, and sandwiches the enemies between them. Doing so, Yoshi resurrects and devours the enemies. Bowser admits defeat and, seeing as he still stuck in the plant costume, he cannot even leave. Mario notices that it is almost time and all together quickly deliver the pizzas, hoping that the costumers will not mind the one seasoned with enemies.

At the end of the day, only one delivery miss the deadline, but the costumer (Luigi) is willing to close an eye about it. Right then, the phone rings: it is the rest of the costumers that, upon eating the pizzas, exploded in their mouth. Yoshi initially thinks that this will lead to the restaurant's closing, but the clients are actually satisfied by the "spiciness" and wants more of the pizza which taste explodes in your mouth, leading to the pizza shop's success, while Bowser is hit with a stick so that he can pop enemies to use as condiments.

Chapter 2[edit]

Chapter 2

マザーヨッシーのしま ヨッシーははこいし! (Mother Yoshi's Island; I miss you mom!)

After watching a scene in which Ultraman Taro hugs his mother, Yoshi feels melancholy about his missing mother. Just then, a message in a bottle drifts on the shore outside his pizzeria: the message is written by Mother Yoshi, stranded on an island located South from Yoshi's Island and in need of help for her and her eggs. A photo is also attached: it is Yoshi's mother. Wanting to help his friend, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and the Dino-Torches (who helps with the oven's fire) build a raft and with Yoshi (and a chained up Bowser, still in the Volcano Lotus costume) go to find her, taking some pizza ingredients with them. The team reach the island, full of craters and eggshells. When Mario asks if they arrived in the corrected location, Yoshi discovers a second part of the letter: Mother Yoshi and her eggs are in peril because of falling bombs.

As Peach is setting up with the Dino-Torches a makeshift oven to prepare a pizza to celebrate the reunion, bombs start falling. Between each bombing, Yoshi calls for his mother, but despite hearing him, she mistakes it for a trap and refuses to go out. Mario then notices a black cloud approaching and another batch of bomb falls, noticing they are the same four types of enemies Bowser spew. Yoshi eats them, then manages to inhale the cloud, revealing Magikoopa on a aircraft called Kame Slugger. Believing Bowser to be dead (and not recognizing him in the ridiculous costume), Magikoopa is ready to avenge him by bombarding Yoshi's mother island with Bob-ombs after baking them into exploding Goombas, Bloobers, Boos, and Piranha Plants. Mario tells Yoshi to eat him, but due to eating the cloud, Yoshi starts to float, finally being spotted by his mother, causing her to come out of hiding, but Kamek shoots him, killing him. As Mother Yoshi cries, she explains that the bombs broke all of her eggs and she lost all of her children. With the island filled with eggshells, Mario, and Peach grabs them and start stacking enemies into it, then Luigi puts eggshells onto them, resurrecting seven Little Yoshis.

As Mother Yoshi happily witnesses this, Bowser tricks her into unzipping his costume, freeing him. Bowser then takes her hostage and orders Magikoopa (who finally recognizes him) to lift him up. Mario, hearing Yoshi's voice, is instructed to reach the top of the island's mountain and warm it up to hatch him. Mario takes a Dino-Torch with him, while Peach passes Luigi the dough she was preparing so that he can collect more enemies at once. Bowser sees what Mario is trying to do, and with a flying blade, breaks the egg in half and one of the eggshells rolls down to the others. Mother Yoshi prays his son to not die, summoning a Star that falls on Luigi's enemy stack. Mario and Peach grabs an eggshell each and sandwich the enemies between them, resurrecting Yoshi in Winged form. With one swoop, Winged Yoshi destroys the Kame Slugger and sends Magikoopa flying. Bowser detaches the Koopa Clown Car from the aircraft wreck, and flies away with his hostage, claiming to be going to Turtle Coral Reef.

Chapter 3[edit]

Chapter 3

カメカメ珊瑚礁さんごしょう - 海賊かいぞく船上せんじよう悪夢あくむ! (Turtle Coral Reef, Nightmare on a Pirate Ship!)

Next stop, Turtle Coral Reef to save Mother Yoshi. Departing without the Little Yoshis and the Dino-Torches, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi take the raft. A winged Little Yoshi appears on Mario's shoulder, later named Oumu. He explains that he knows where Bowser went and guide them through a storm, despite Luigi and Yoshi not trusting him, especially after he gave Peach a kiss on the cheek. After surviving the storm, the raft reaches an island way too similar to the one they departed from and the crew is already getting angry at Oumu, before getting netted by the Koopalings dressed up as pirates. Captain Wendy is ready to throw them to the sharks, unless Mario changes his mind on dating her. Luigi tells him to fake-accepting her feelings, but Mario refuses, finding the shark a much better alternative. Oumu resorts in knocking him out with a mallet, then he puppeteers him into accepting her feelings.

As Wendy dances with the unconscious Mario, Peach gets offended by this scene, while Luigi and Yoshi starts bickering on who will console Peach now, leaving the other Koopalings so confused that they forget to steer the ship, which strands on the island, making all the male Koopalings fall overboard, while Mario knocks his head (and Oumu's) against one of the masts, waking him up. Realizing what he is going on, he backs away from Wendy in disgust, causing her to desperately cry and trip overboard as well. After that, the Koopalings are then chased off by the sharks. As the group celebrates, the surrounding mist dissipates, revealing that the island is actually their destination: the lagoon of Turtle Coral Reef, with Bowser waiting on top of the mountain with (non-explosive) minions to throw at them. Overwhelmed by the enemies, the ship starts to tilt, but Yoshi eats them all, but the ship is still at risk, due to Yoshi's newly gained weight, so Peach throws him overboard, where he does not even have to fear the sharks, which are promptly eaten by him, but the current drift him away.

Meanwhile, Mother Yoshi tries to lay some eggs in secret to overwhelm her captor, but Bowser catches her in the act and breaks the egg. When Mother Yoshi asks why she is torturing her like that, Bowser explains that he needs a female Yoshi for his plan: according to the rumors, it exists a legendary and demonic Yoshi, born every thousand years: the Devil Yoshi, whose egg has appeared in the Devil Yoshi's Tower located in the middle of the sea. The plan is hatching the Devil Yoshi and them guiding him into destroy everything related to Mario so to become Nintendo's next protagonist. Hearing that, Mario and Luigi climb the mast to reach Bowser, but he throws more enemies at them, accidentally giving them also some eggshell, from which the heroes resurrect five Winged Yoshis.

Furious, Bowser escapes on the Koopa Clown Car with Mother Yoshi, not before crumbling the hilltop and landing some debris on the deck, creating holes in the ship. The ship starts to sink, but the Winged Yoshis attach some ropes to the ship and rises it in the sky. Next and final stop: Devil Yoshi's Tower.

Chapter 4[edit]

Chapter 4

デビルヨッシーのとう - 恐怖きようふ伝説でんせつ!? (The Rise of Devil Yoshi, a Scary Legend!?)

Bowser and Mother Yoshi have reached Devil Yoshi's Tower, where the egg is located, and with the Koopalings keeping her babies in hostage, Mother Yoshi has no choice but to warm that egg. Just then, Mario's ship arrives, but with a well-placed Banzai Bill, Bowser destroys it, scattering away the Winged Yoshi. Oumu saves Mario, Luigi, and Peach by magically summoning the eggshell of the last Devil Yoshi as a makeshift raft. The Koopalings begins to drop more enemies to them. To avoid tipping over, the heroes stacks pairs of species to make them disappear, but then Oumu suggests of making a tower out of them to reach the Koopas. When just about seven enemies remains to reach the top, Wendy looks down, only to see Luigi's face on top of the minion stack. Enraged, she grabs the first thing she can grasp and throws it at him, but when she realizes she tossed Morton, she lunges to catch him back, and her brothers right back, becoming part of the pile and letting the heroes reach the top.

Right on time, the egg starts to crack, but seeing her kids being free by the rope bounds, Mother Yoshi steps away. Furious, Bowser starts to stomp furiously the ground, until he cracks the egg open. As Devil Yoshi begins to awaken, Oumu senses what is happening to Yoshi: left adrift, Yoshi begun to sink and just then drowns. With Yoshi ready to be resurrected, Oumu summons a Star and the other eggshell, then sandwiching both star and the stack of 100 enemies, closes the eggshell together, summoning the giant Star Yoshi, who removes the others from the tower, while it crumbles after the demonic dragon-like Devil Yoshi is born.

Grabbing the giant star attached to his back, Yoshi throws it full force against the dragon, blowing it up and sending Bowser plummet into the sea. From the dragon's remains, a winged Little Yoshi appears. Oumu goes to hug him, calling him brother. Bowser demands some explanations: Oumu explains that the legend of Devil Yoshi is the result of misinformation, in actuality it is a Debeso that is born every millennium, recognizable from the outward belly button he covered until now, it just happens that the first skin a Debeso shed is dragon-shaped. Oumu too was the previous Devil Yoshi. With his mother and brothers rescued, Star Yoshi brings everyone to Dinosaur Land to celebrate the reunion and the birth of the new Devil Yoshi, leaving Bowser stranded on the Tower's rubbles.

Mototin's Picture Diary[edit]

MOTOモトちんのたまたま絵日記えにっき (Mototin's Casual Picture Diary)

  • With a new eggshell-shaped hat, Mototin starts to imitate the Easter Bunny, until his younger sister reminds him that, unlike her, this is the reason he is not married yet.
  • Reading some fan-mails, Mototin is asked why he has a pen on his head. He explains that, with all the braincells a human loses, especially working untill late, a hollow space has created in his brain that he can use as a penholder. When the fan-mail asks if this is true, Mototin's sister calls him a liar, and he starts to chase her for ruining the mood.
  • Being a mangaka is not that bad: if you ever fall asleep while working, an angel might come to finish the page, maybe even the Toads, or even an astral projection of yourself. The same cannot be said about RPG games: you can only count on yourself.
  • Feeling sleepy, Mototin goes to grab some Coke to stay awake, making his sister proud... until he accidentally drinks the ink bottle while putting his pen in the glass, knocking him out cold.
