スーパーマリオカート ("Super Mario Kart")
At Bowser's Castle, Larry brings his father a newspaper article: the Mushroom King is holding a new kart race competition, the Special Cup, and the winner will be the Mushroom Kingdom King for one entire day. Bowser is not much interested in it, but when Larry points out that winning means that he gets to dine with Peach and even bathe with her. Excited, Bowser enrolls in the competition. The other racers of BomBom Cup (Peach included) have also enrolled, and by just seeing each other, Bowser and Mario figure out they got the same idea, while the others are more interested in a royal feast and Luigi wants to bring home a royal treasure. The race begins, as the boys begin to bicker on who shall be victorious, they enter Donut Plains 3. Peach, tailing them, yells at them to be careful on the wooden bridges. They do (reprising the bickering once on the ground) and on the second bridge they notice that it is broken and build enough speed to jump over it. Peach, who was slowing down in the curves, does not and falls in the lake. A Lakitu fishes her kart out, but the princess has fallen out of the vehicle, prompting Mario to dive in. At the bottom of the lake, Mario meets the bilingual Frog Princess. She explains the frogs of the secret Frog Kingdom have rescued her and, in order to keep it a secret, the Frog Princess gives them two treasure chests to open in case of distress.
Back to the surface, where the other pilots are still bickering, Peach immediately opens her chest (no one caring for her wellbeing is a situation of distress). From the chest, an ice creature freezes the course, turning it into Vanilla Lake 2. The slippery terrain causes problems to Luigi, Donkey Kong Jr., Toad, and Peach, while the reptiles start to go into hibernation, but Bowser manages to keep himself warm with wool clothing. After crashing into a wall, Peach and the other struggling pilots give up, leaving Mario and Bowser as the remaining contestants. The princess and Junior give Mario a Dash Mushroom and a Banana Peel to use against Bowser. As the race continues, with Mario gaining up by jumping on the icebergs, the water creates a rainbow so vivid that the racers can drive up it, arriving at the legendary sky course: Rainbow Road.
On the course, Mario is able to catch up and surpass Bowser and, thanks to Peach's Dash Mushroom, he manages to avoid the Choropū-dan that the Koopa King launches at him. Using his trump card, Bowser calls the Super Thwomps. They place themselves in front of Mario and, unable to break in time, he crashes into them, his kart blows up and he almost falls off the course, holding for dear life to the edge. As Bowser tries to pass by, Mario throws Junior's Banana Peel on a yellow floor tile. Unable to see it, Bowser slips and crashes into the Super Thwomps as well. Left with one tire each, Mario and Bowser begin to finish the last trait of the course by balancing on the wheels. Bowser gets in front and, using his farts, keeps Mario away from him. As he approaches the finish line, Peach, from below, uses the second chest and a lightning bolt exits and hits Bowser, shrinking him and slowing him down. Mario squashes him and crosses the finish line.
Mario won the Special Cup, but his day as a king reveals to be quite disappointing: after hours of paperwork and a good feast, about to go in the bath, he discovers that Peach had to go on a business trip. As he bathes alone, Mario does not suspect that Peach is actually peeping on him.
Part 2[edit]
スーパーマリオランド
While Mario was saving Daisy from Tatanga, now reduced to be the princess' servant, a mysterious individual was making his way to Mario's castle in Mario Land. Thanks to his resemblance to Mario, the individual got to the treasure room, only to find six Golden Coins and Peach's love letters. Only when he got out with the former, the Goomba guards noticed that he was not the castle's owner, but by then it was too late: the mysterious man used his hypnotic skills to convince everyone in Mario Land to become evil and rotten to the core. Then, he used the six coins to summon five monsters, and entrusted them with one Golden Coin each.
Back in Sarasaland, people are celebrating the release of Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins, and while Daisy bickers with Princess Peach on who shall be the damsel in distress this time around, Luigi explains that neither of them are in the game, so the two suggests that maybe Luigi or Yoshi are going to be the one to be rescued. A Mario-like figure approaches and mocks them for their delusions. Mistaking him for Mario, the group yells at him, but just then they realize something is wrong in "Mario's" hat and mustache: that is because he is his evil alter-ego, Wario. Mario, who was just sleeping on a hammock, gets woken up by Luigi and comes face to face with the evil twin. Wario runs away into the sea, so Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, and Tatanga follow him on the Marine Pop.
The chase leads to an island covered by the fog, and when exploring it, the group comes face to face with a giant robot of Mario. Only then, Mario and Luigi recognize this to be their homecountry, a kingdom their family rule and where they used to play during their childhood. Wario appears on top of the robot, claiming that when they abandoned this land to be the Mushroom and Sarasaland kingdoms heroes, he took over it to prove his superiority. While escaping from the robot's stomps, Mario rescues a rabbit and hides in a tall grass patch. While Wario furiously searches for him, the rabbit leads Mario into a hole, where he meets the Rabbit Princess. To reward him for protecting the rabbit, she gives him a Carrot. Confused, Mario eats it, but does not feel anything changing, not noticing the bunny ears, but following the princess' suggestion, he makes a jump.
Leaping so high to see the whole Mario Land from the sky, Mario lands on top of Wario, kicking him off the robot, which stops on the Eastern coast of the island. While Mario finally takes notice of the bunny ears and gets laughed at it by Luigi, Wario spots Tatanga and offers him a place as the sixth evil guardians. Daisy reminds him that he was successfully rehabilitated and is now a good guy (and that also Mario could beat him a second time in case of betrayal). After a lot of deliberation, Tatanga decides to join Wario after being presented with a new and improved spaceship (something that was summoned with the other guardians).
Avoiding the missiles from the spaceship, Mario and Luigi take the princesses and Yoshi to Mario's castle gates, but a new problem arises: the gate is blocked by a new one, and to open it, the six Golden Coins are required, and they are now in the hands of the six guardians. Wario, riding a black cloud, places himself on top of the castle, and challenges Mario to get back his land, claiming that he will be waiting for him in the throne room. Mario accepts the duel, but when he asks his friends to follow him, they retreat to the Marine Pop, scared off by the guardians. Mario is now alone, his only support: all the bunny girls in the world ("just kidding" adds the author).

スーパーマリオUSA ("Super Mario Bros. 2")
Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, and Toad are getting ready to have a picnic with princess Peach, but when they arrive at the castle, she informs them that she has some business to attend and leaves on her chariot, from which a flyer falls off: the so-called "business" is just a masquerade party at Casino USA. Beside being angry for being stood up, Luigi and Toad are also suspicious of the place and decide to attend. After procuring themselves a Tanooki Suit, a Frog Suit, and a Bowser costume, the trio enters the casino, full of people, most of which are members of the 8 bits. When Mario finally sees Peach, alongside Kinoppe, the presenter (Mouser) asks the participants to grab a partner to begin the ball event, and the girls are approached by two good-looking guys, saddening the trio. Mouser invites the couples to the next room. Without a partner, the trio cannot join the other guests. Among the remaining options, only Birdo and "her" "sisters" are left. It is only when Mario realizes that Wendy was also left out that he chooses the lesser evil and invites the others to cross-dress.
Meanwhile, while Mario and friends are still changing, in the venue, Mouser drops the guests into a trapdoor, leaving only Peach, Kinoppe, and their partners, who are revealed to be Wart and Tryclyde in disguise. After the 8 bits surrounds the girls, Wart declares that the masquerade was a trap to lure them, capture them, cook them, and eat them, as he loves the taste of peaches and mushrooms. Just then, Mario, Luigi, Toad (dressed up as Sailor Moon), and the Birdos (dressed up as gentlemen) enter and tell Wart to stop it. Wart counteroffers with a challenge: he will challenge each one of them at the casino games. If they win, the girls will be released, otherwise, the boys will be forced to marry the Birdos. After dropping off the costumes, Mario accepts.
First up are Luigi and Wart at the slot-machines. Luigi manages to get some small wins, but Wart manages to one-up him by pairing cherries. Luigi slowly depletes all his coins, until Toad reminds him to do what he did with the Spade Panel games in Manga Super Mario Bros. 3 Kanzen Kōryakuhon. Doing so, Luigi keeps getting three cherries, and in a matter of minutes, Wart loses all his coins, even betting his crown, robe, pendant, and golden denture. Luigi wins the first round. The second round features a crane game where participants attempt to catch the highest number of guests from the trapdoor. Toad only manages to catch one, while Wart cheats his way to victory, with the aid of his Shyguys holding onto the caught guest. Wart wins the second round. The third round will determine the fate of the heroes: the roulette.
Mario bets on red, but while Wart starts up the wheel and throws the ball in, Toad notices that Wart's claw machine had a Bob-omb inside helping him, but Clawgrip shuts his mouth. Mario notices it and also notices that the ball is moving strangely: it is an egg, surely guided on the inside by someone (Birdo). So, Mario pulls out five ripened turnips and summons a Stop Watch. In the following seven seconds that the time freezes, Mario glues the ball-egg onto a red space and when time resumes, Wart is left speechless, while Mario and friends leave with the girls. The next day, the trio re-attempts to invite Peach and Kinoppe to a picnic, but they get distracted by two cute guys and chase after them, leaving the boys behind them.
Part 4[edit]
マリオペイント ("Mario Paint")
Bowser has created a machine to bring Mario Paint creations to life, the Koopa Tokusei, and his plan is to create a Fake Mario to ruin his reputation.
The first victim of this imposter Mario, just so happens to be Princess Peach, whom she gets punched in the head and gets her skirt flipped by Fake Mario. Shocked and disgusted by his behavior, she does not hesitate when Bowser offers his shoulder to cry on. Just as Fake Mario goes to make more evil deeds, the real deal arrives and is left shocked when Peach walks away in Bowser's arms. Still flabbergasted, Mario almost fails to notice his pixelated double running away with stolen bakery goods, and has now to escape two angry Paragoomba bakers, who mistook him for the thief. Mario hides in Bowser's Castle, where he finds the Koopa Tokusei.
Moments later, while Peach is enjoying a date with Bowser in the park, Fake Mario arrives and beats his creator. As Peach yells at him to stop it, Fake Mario is canceled, and a fake Bowser is created instead. Bowser realizes that his plan was discovered and Mario appears, showing to Peach the machine and explaining the misunderstanding. He then adds that such inventions should be used for good, so he forces the Fake Bowser to do good deeds, such as helping the elderly and cleaning the park, ruining Bowser's evil reputation. Peach, later joined by Toad, Luigi, and Yoshi, try out the machine, creating silly self-portraits of themselves, who are then ordered to boss around Fake Bowser. Exhausted, Bowser makes his exit from the scene.

Part 1[edit]
スーパーマリオブラザーズ3 ("Super Mario Bros. 3")
At the Mario Bros.' House, while Mario is repairing his dog's house, Luigi is playing games on the TV. Suddenly the TV malfunctions and when Mario comes in to check, Princess Peach appears on the screen asking for help. Before she can say more, Bowser appears and grabs her. He then explains to Mario that he turned the Kings of the Mushroom World into animals, and if he wants to save them and the princess, he will have to face his seven kids, the Koopalings. Without hesitation, Mario jumps inside the screen, while Luigi laments his lack of research.
Mario is teleported to the Grass Land, while Luigi gives Mario instructions by talking to him from outside the screen. In World 1-1, Mario is greeted by familiar Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and what he thinks is a Piranha Plant, but the latter spits a fireball at him, presenting itself as a Fire Piranha Plant. With a swift leap, Mario skillfully dodges it and strikes a ? Block and acquires a Super Mushroom. After defeating the Koopa Troopas, he kicks a shell against another ? Block, unveiling a strange leaf that Luigi recommends picking up. Doing so, Mario turns into Racoon Mario, and with his newfound tail, he removes the incoming enemies and flies to the Goal, clearing the stage. Back in the world map, the Hammer Brother patrolling the south area turns into a Treasure Ship. Luigi understands that, by clearing the stage with the coin counter having the same double digits and having the same number match the scores tens digit, this prompts the Treasure Ship to appears, but still leaves the a Hammer Brother encounter by the end of it.
Next up, is World 1-
Fortress, where Mario gets startled by the living skeletons that are the Dry Bones. At the end of the Fortress, Mario comes face to face with the miniboss Boom Boom and, despite mistaking it for a ghost, he gets the upper hand and defeats him. Onwards to the Grass Land Castle, where Koopaling Larry awaits in World 1-
Airship. After defeating him with the power of the Fire Flower, Mario returns the Magic Wand the Koopaling stole to the King, turning him back to his human form. Grateful, the King gives Mario a letter from Peach, in which he informs Mario of the dangers of the "Boo" Diddlys and gifts him a P-Wing. The King then explains the properties of the P-Wing: turning into Racoon Mario with an infinite amount of power to fly.
Up comes the second world: Desert Land. Luigi warns Mario that he will come across dangerous enemies and quicksand, but Mario is still too giggly from Peach's letter that, as he enters World 2-1, he is ambushed by Pile Driver Micro-Goombas and a Fire Snake. Now in World 2-2, Mario gets distracted and lands in a quicksand puddle. As he sinks, Bowser delightfully watches from his magic orb, while Peach yells at him to jump to get out of the sand, but it is too late. Mario gets a Game Over and is spit out from the screen. While Mario takes the time to breathe, Luigi switches places with him and enters the screen, ready to put to good use everything he researched on.
In World 2-
Fortress, Luigi uses the Racoon form and three patrolling Dry Bones to jump on them and obtains a lot of extra lives, until he messes up the jump and the Dry Bones get him. Luigi goes back to his house, and suggests Mario tries the infinite-UP trick too to have more chances in the future, but Mario disagrees, claiming that Peach must be saved as soon as possible. In World 2-
Desert, Mario struggles a bit against a tornado, but after jumping over it, Mario is then chased by the Angry Sun. Back to the world map, Mario keeps hearing a Hammer Brother patrol moving, but cannot find it on the screen. Hearing the noise from behind a rock, Luigi suggests trying using a hammer to break it. Behind it, Mario finds a secret oasis, with a Fire Brother patrol. After defeating it, Mario obtains the Magic Whistle as a reward. By playing it, a magic tornado appears and takes him to the Warp Zone, where he dives into the World 3's Warp Pipe, arriving in Water Land.
After seeing a way to reach the castle with a boat, Mario clears the underwater stage World 3-1. He then finds a Mushroom House where he finds a Frog Suit and uses it to clear World 3-2, despite messing up the jumps with the imprecise walk the suit grants him. In World 3-3, he decides to use the swimming ability of the suit, only to lose the suit after nearly ending up in the maw of a Boss Bass.
Upset that the Boss Bass left after munching the suit, Bowser unleashes his army against Mario: Boomerang Brothers, Spikes, Chain Chomps, Hot Feet, Thwomps, Lakitus, Jelectros, and a flying Boom Boom, but Mario manages to come out unscathed and reaches World 3-
Airship. Wendy also attacks him with everything she has: Rocky Wrenches, Burners, Cannonballs, and Rings, but Racoon Mario comes out victorious.
In the next world, Mario reunites with Luigi, who cleared the rest of Desert Land by himself and got there via the Warp Zone. He also found a Mushroom House behind a rock and obtained a silly-looking Tanooki Suit that grants him the same powers as a Super Leaf and the ability to turn into a statue. In Bowser's lair, Peach is glad to see that Mario made it out alive of Water Land, but Bowser warns her to abandon all hope: World 4 is Giant Land, where everything and everyone, including enemies, are big in size and they will surely squash Mario like a bug.

ドクターマリオ ("Dr. Mario")
It is Sports day, and the Mushroom Kingdom is reunited at the stadium to witness the athletic matches, with the prize being a year's supply of Super Mushrooms. Luigi is in the lead, enjoying this moment, seeing as Peach and Mario are checking up the athletes as field doctors. Just then, Gahaha Daiō arrives on a flying vehicle, holding two giant beakers with Viruses, each with Mario and Bowser's names on. Gahaha Daiō challenges Mario to a VS. game of Dr. Mario, but he refuses. Anticipating this, Gahaha Daiō asks Peach to examine the party ball hanging next to him. With a device, Peach registers a high concentration of Viruses: if Mario refuses the challenge or loses it, the party ball will open, releasing a bunch of Gahaha Viruses. Before the stadium can be evacuated, the three main Viruses block the entrance by becoming giants.
Mario is forced to accept the challenge, and Gahaha Daiō throws the first capsule in his beaker, eliminating two rows of Viruses, which cause two halves of a capsule to generate in Mario's beaker. As Gahaha Daiō explains, this is the result of clearing two or more rows of Viruses. Getting over the worry, Dr. Mario throws two capsules, clears three rows of Viruses, and three half-capsule lands in Bowser's beaker. Peach, Luigi, and Kuribō help Mario in clearing more rows, but Gahaha Daiō stops them by throwing his emblem onto them, brainwashing them and turning them into costumed Viruses.
Thinking that he just lost his helpers, Mario continues, but the three jump in Mario's beaker to hinder his progress by kicking the capsules away. The Toads and the Goombas then come to his aid, by overwhelming the brainwashed trio with capsules and eliminating Virus after Virus. After a while, Mario has only three Viruses left (which are Luigi and the others), but Gahaha Daiō quickly recuperates and has one Virus left, which makes the Toads and Goombas scared at the impending opening of the party ball. Dr. Mario quickly installs a seesaw, grabs three capsules, and orders the Toads to fling him into the beaker. Doing so, Mario lands in between his brainwashed friends and extends his arms to align the capsules and half-capsules with them, eliminating the Virus, and making the three respawn outside the beaker, free of Gahaha Daiō's control.
Mario has won, but Gahaha Daiō still tries to open the party ball, but having lost, the remote controls do not respond to him, so he orders the three Giant Viruses to manually open it. The three approach the ball, but Dr. Mario grabs the Super Mushrooms from the prize cup and eats them, turning into a giant. With a powerful punch, Mario sends the Viruses and the ball flying so high they all leave the Earth's atmosphere, then land in the ocean. With a mallet, Luigi turns Mario back to his original size. After realizing that Gahaha Daiō has apparently left, Luigi sets off the celebration fireworks. Bowser, who was hiding in one of the cannons, is blown up in the air, while the crowd cheers for Dr. Mario and his friends.

スーパーマリオランド ("Super Mario Land")
The next stop for the duo is Easton Kingdom. After leaving the Marine Pop at the shore full of moai statues, Mario and Mecha Kuribō adventure into the new region, getting ambushed by a Batadon, who immediately calls for support after Mario ruins one of the statues, and a group of running Tokotokos. Being surrounded on both sides, Mario yells "Red light" and the moais stop in place, then he flees with Mecha Kuribō before they realize they are being duped. A sea of spikes is now in the heroes' way, and a Ganchan, a living boulder, appears. Mario shoots it with some Superballs, which only angers the boulder. Mecha Kuribō then stretches Mario's head, making him look more like a moai. Now willing to help a "moai friend", the Ganchan takes the two on its back and takes them across the spikes. Meanwhile, Tatanga is spying on them and orders his minion Hiyoihoi and his troops of Kumos to not be deceived by such silly tactics as the moais (a comment that upsets Hiyoihoi).
After escaping the Batadons and Tokotokos with some disguises, Mario and Mecha Kuribō are approached by a cute cave woman named Sue, for whom Mario takes a liking to, much to Peach's disappointment. Sue suggests for Mario to take a shortcut through a nearby cave. Mecha Kuribō is suspicious of her, and has good reason too, as the cave is filled to the brim with Suu, but Mario easily defeats them, making Sue upset. The girl then points Mario to a Hidden Block containing a Lift Block that will take him to a pipe for another bonus area. As Mario enters the bonus area, Sue lures Mecha Kuribō into a spot by "accidentally" losing a bromide of Kazumi Morohoshi. As Mecha Kuribō takes it, a Suu drops a falling spike on it, knocking it out and making it fall down the river below. Mario returns and asks where his robotic companion went. Sue points to a cliff and, after he leans over it, shoves him down a web made by the Kumos. Sue then pulls out a potion of "selfmade" Suu venom and pours it on Mario. Right then, the chasing Batadons and Tokotokos barge in and fall into the web, freeing Mario and getting poured with the venom instead, melting in an instant. The Kumos surround Mario under Sue's order, but Hiyoihoi, tired of his minions being a failure, appears with a Gatling gun and shoots Bullet Biffs at everyone. The Kumos succumb and Mario, noticing a Bullet Biff going straight to Sue, saves her by pushing her away.
Hiyoihoi then rises his base into the air. Mario, using the Ganchan, jumps on the floating island. Sue, struck by how Mario still saved her even though she tried to kill him, follows him by climbing on a hanging root. The two find themselves in front of a complex maze and enter it, meeting various manga characters before coming face to face with Hiyoihoi. After dodging the boss's boulders, Sue reveals herself to be a humanized Suu, showing her real spider-like body, and asks Mario to pass her some Superballs, so they can throw many of them at once with her multiple limbs. Mario adheres to her plan, resulting in Hiyoihoi's defeat. The island and the monsters start to disappear, along with Sue, who thanks Mario for being a kind friend. A crying Mario is later approached by Mecha Kuribō, convinced that he was crying for its absence, causing Mario to be more upset. Once Mario composes himself, it is time to head to the last region of Sarasaland: Chai Kingdom.
