Chapter 1[edit]

Chapter 1

〝いざ突入とつにゆう〟ワリオじょう!! ("Let's go" Wario's castle!!)

All Golden Coins are collected. Wario's castle awaits. After putting the coins into each respective slot in the gate, Mario realizes that the coins have been swapped with Yoshi Cookies: one last trickery from Warudeijī, who swapped the bags cointaining the coins. While Mario places the correct ones, Wario uses this chance to do one last ritual, litting on various candles with the names: this causes all the involved Mario Land characters and guardians to resurrect. Right as Mario and his friends are about to enter the palace, Battle Beetle arrives, claiming that earlier he went into ihbernation and did not actually die. He explains that the castle is filled with numerous traps, so it is best not to put everyone's life at risk, offering to protect them from any evil forces outside. With that said, Luigi and Mario enter the castle, carrying a bag of Carrots. Inside, the brothers see various enemies they defeated before. A Floating Face warns them that Wario used an evil spell to resurrect them and as long that evil is stored in the heart of a person, they will always come back, but Mario rebutts that they are armed with righteous justice spirit, that is eternal and will always prevail. With that, the brothers stomp on the Floating Face and continue.

A wall of Kyororo blocks their path and, using tricky riddle, distracts the brothers long enough for Kurokyura to swoop in bat form and steal their carrot bag. Chasing him, Mario and Luigi are almost squashed by Karamenbo, and the former is also tricked again by Witch disguised as collector, but the brothers arrive to the throne room, where Wario and Kurokyura await. Wario activates a moving pillar underneath him, and the throne rises to the rooftop. While they run towards the stairs, giant fists with spiked brass knuckles attempt to squashed. Once on the rooftop, the fists are revealed to be Wario, turned giant after bottling up his evil aura, and is so big and heavy that every step causes earthwakes. Meanwhile, Mario's allies hear the tremors, but are unable to see what is going on due to the black stormy cloud, but Hippo blows it away, showing the rooftop battle.

Wario notices that Luigi has disappeared: he is trying to climb the pillar, that was raised to the maximum height, way higher from the roof, to reach the stolen carrots to pass Mario. Kurokyura throws Furizo and Furiko at him, but it is a rope-munching mouse that throws him off the pillar, biting into the rope ladder. Luckily, he is saved by Heavy Zed, who came to help them. Meanwhile, Wario corners Mario, but Peach tosses him a carrot she was carrying. Turned into a bunny, Mario is able to leap high enough to stomp Wario's face, knocking him out cold. The heroes celebrate, and Peach also taunts Daisy by revealing that she munched on that carrot, therefore she indirectly kissed Mario. Kurokyura, from the throne pillar, curses one of the stolen carrots and drops it into Wario's mouth. Only the King notices, but when he yells at Mario about that, it is too late, and Wario turns into a giant bunny.

Chapter 2[edit]

Chapter 2

最終さいしゅう激突げきとつ〟マリオVS.ブイエスワリオ!! ("The final battle" Mario vs. Wario!!)

Due to his giant size, every bounces Wario takes breaks the rooftop more and more, to the point that Mario suggest fighting in the air to avoid more damage, but Wario still has the upperhand with his size. While the two fight, Luigi and Heavy Zed sneak up behind Kurokyura and immobilize him with a makeshift cross, then Luigi cooks onion soup and proceeds to pour it into his mouth, killing the vampire. Furious, Wario petrifies his body into a cement block, leaving his head exposed, while Mario keeps getting pummeled and also gets a kick to the crotch. Crawling in pain, Mario drops a feather an Wario puts it on his head, turning into Fire Wario. After failing to burn him with his fireballs, Wario calls his minions to him and orders to chase Mario, while he enjoys the leftover crêpes prepared by Daisy.

Meanwhile, Peach and the others are reunited with Bear, who was ressurected with the other minions, and she explains that if they blow out the candles in the basement, everyone named on them will disappear. While they do that, Mario and Heavy Zed manage to direct some pointy enemies towards Wario, pinning him down to the pillar, and leaving him vulnerable. Ready to deliver the final blow, Wario pleads Mario to stop it, lying that he is his long-lost brother, claiming that they got separated through the adoption system. Mario does not believe him, but while he thinks about it, Wario strikes and turns him and the owl into statues. Meanwhile, Battle Beetle uses his wings to blow out everyone's candle, which sadly also includes Bear. Now freed from being pinned to the wall, Wario prepares a devastating electic ball and shoots it towards Mario. With her last moment of movement, Bear jumps in between Mario and the ball, sending them all down the stairs, but saving Mario and Heavy Zed's lives at the cost of her own. Mario, now free from the statue form, mourns her heroic death.

While Wario celebrates his presumed-victory against Mario, Bear's spirit informs the others that Mario is safe, but to help him regain confidence. Luigi drops onto Wario, making some of his teeth fall, thanks to Daisy who made sure to add much more sugare into the crêpes. Taking advantage of his pain, Peach, Daisy, Hippo, Toad, the King, and Battle Beetle go to one tower each holding the Six Golden Coins and reflect the sunlight towards Mario. The light shines onto a painting of Mario's parents, he understand that he needs to man up and jump back to the rooftop. Surprised to see him alive, Wario shoots a fire beam at him, but so does Mario and, armed of everyone's moral support, he overwhelms Wario and defeats him, blowing out of his shoes.

Everyone cheers up, until a black smoke emerges from Wario: the smoke claims to be the personification of Evil. He accepts defeats and will abandon his vessel, but reminds them that as long evil lurks in people's heart he will always come back. The Evilness disappears, Mario's castle returns to its original form, and Mario Land's inhabitants are now free from the brainwashing. Wario wakes up, now free of evil intentions, and his wig falls off, revealing his bald head and making everyone around him laugh. Mario asks him if that was because he jealous of them, but he cries that he was jealous of Mario and Luigi's brotherly relationship, as he is alone.

Just then, Yoshi arrives, ready to give them a hand, only to realize he is way late to the party.

Chapter 3[edit]

Chapter 3

〝いざ突入とつにゆう〟ワリオじょう!! ("Mario Brothers" A new adventure!!)

Mario is back to reign over the Mario Land, but desiring to spend time with Peach, but also waiting for the arrival of the minister of BomBom Kingdom, Mario asks Luigi to take his place momentarely. Luigi accepts to receive the minister, but during his visit, Luigi spots Mario enjoying his date and frown. Seeing the king disregard him, the minister storms out in indignation. Mario sees the minister leaving and an argument ensues between the brothers. Peach tries to reason with both of them, but without avail. As she sits in the meadow reflecting on how to proceed, the Golden Coin gate appears in front of her, and promising to settle the matter, invites the princess in. Peach obliges, only to fall victim of a trap of the Personification of Evil, ready to take revenge for its foiled plan.

A few days later, while riding a Propeller Lift, Wario makes his grand return, shooting the castle grounds with a small missle. He announces that a bigger and more destructive missile, the Bowser Missile, will be later launched, destroying the whole Mario Land, unless they raise a white flag and surrender the crown to him. Every citizen of the Mario Land agrees to fight back, and Hippo manages to locate the launch site: the Mushroom Kingdom. Hippo has already prepare a countermeasure to bomb it, but Mario stops him, wanting to investigate further into the matter, and flies to the Mushroom Kingdom with the Sky Pop. With Mario's absence, Battle Beetle calls Luigi to take his place as the momentary ruler.

Mario arrives at the Mushroom Castle, finding only the King and an army of armed Toads corrupted by Wario. They reveal they built the missile under his orders and are now ready to fire it. Meanwhile, Luigi does not want to risk his life and he is ready to raise the white flag, but he is stopped by Battle Beetle. Having had enough, Wario orders to fire the missle, but Mario, using his bunny powers, jumps onto the missle and, at the last second, manages to re-direct its destination towards Wario. Seemingly, both of them blow up, leaving Hippo and Battle Beetle sad for Mario's death, while poiting out that Luigi is now the new actual ruler, but he cries claiming that he never wanted to be king, he was just angry that Mario left him to do just the boring work.

Just then, Wario reappears, in giant form and with the Golden Coins gate as an armor. He is still alive, but so is Mario, rescued at the last second by Daisy and the re-reformed Tatanga on his spaceship. Nonetheless, Wario remains unbothered: by wasting their times as kings, the brothers are out of shape and unable to stop him. Daisy tosses them her flower-shaped earings, and they transform into Fire Mario and Fire Luigi. Combining their fireballs with Tatanga's lasers, Wario is defeated and popped like a balloon, revealing to be the Personification of Evil using Peach to manovrate a Wario-shaped puppet. In the form of tiny Wario devils, the Evil runs away, while Peach and the Toads are freed from its mind control.

As the story comes to a conclusion, Mario and Luigi realize they are not fit to be kings, so, while they work on that, they decide to leave Hippo in charge of the Mario Land, while they return to the Mushroom Kingdom, promising to return once they will be ready.

Bonus chapter[edit]

Bonus chapter

〝にせもの〟にはご用心ようじん!! ("Imposters" Beware of robbers!)

Wario, the real deal, is back and, still moved by evil intentions, conjures up a plan with Kurokyura and Bopping Toady: (poorly) disguised as Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi respectively, they will cause mischief and damages to frame the heroic trio. Destruction of public property, vandalism, Wario even punches two elementary school kids, Kurio and Kuriko, and nearly does the same with two highschool students, before realizing they are Chun-Li and Guile. But the worst has yet to come. Meanwhile, at Mario's castle, Luigi and Yoshi are watching TV when an emergency news broadcast announces that 6 milion Yens where from the BomBom Bank during an armed robbery, and while masked, the camera footage captured the culprits' faces, leading the police to think that Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi just pulled the heist. The police arrests the baffled Luigi and Yoshi, but while putting them into the car, Inspector Gori orders to find Mario. In the nearby bushes, Wario witnesses the arrests and laughs in joy, accidentally revealing their position to the police, getting themselves arrest, much to the inspector confusion. Right after, Mario and Peach return from their date and the real Mario is also taken to the station.

At the station, Gori understands that Mario and friends were framed, but have no idea who is the real deal, so Peach is called to identify the real Mario. Being tired from playing catch, the real Mario is knocked out from tiredom, so Wario takes this moment to convince Peach to be the real Mario by offering her a cash gift. Peach falls for the trick, and Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi are put behind bars, while the imposter are let go. The heroes are questioned where they hidden the gun and the money, but they have no answer to that. To break them, Inspector Gori punishes them by depriving of a meal until they confess, trying also to break them by describing the feast Peach is giving to "Mario" right now. Instead, the inspector returns to find Yoshi alone in the cell, and when he enters to check where the Mario Brothers escaped to, they jump out of Yoshi's mouth and knocks the inspector down, then escape.

At Peach's Castle, Wario asks Peach to check her gift bag he gave her, and empting the content, she discovers the gun and the money, realizing her mistake. Meanwhile, the police has spread the news of the jailbreak, informing all that the escapees are probably dangerous due to their hunger, prompting the citizens to close all of their shops. Weakened by hunger, the heroes are rescued by Kurio and Kuriko, that recognizing them as the real deal and not the bully that attacked them, offer them a box full of cookies. With their refound strenght, Mario and friends barge into Peach's castle. Mario unmasks Wario, who was just about to attack Peach, and with a powerful kick from all the heroes, the three imposters are send flying towards the Police Station with the stolen goods and weapons.

The next day, Peach is making a new feast for the real heroes, worried that they will fatten up like Wario if they keep viciously gulping down her food. Meanwhile, the news announces that the fakers returned to the police with the money, but having "them" hit the inspector the night before, their sentence will be not lightened up for returning the loot.
