The Attic Course,[1] also referred to as Final Boss: One Mighty Mouse!,[2] and Endless Hearts,[2] is the final level of the Macro Zone in Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins. This level takes place in the attic of the house. The sewer rat is fought at the end of this level.
Layout[edit]
At the start of the level, where Mario comes out of the chimney, there are large books which can be used as platforms. First, there is a ? Block which contains a Fire Flower, next to a Goomba on a book, with a Koopa Troopa on a taller set of books. There is another ? Block soon after. If Mario hits it, it reveals a 1-Up Heart which is stolen by a collector. There are then some coins and a couple of Goombas. There are then more coins above conveyor blocks which lead Mario to a short wall of spikes. Above the coins is a Piranha Plant in a pipe, with another Piranha Plant soon after, near a ? Block containing a Carrot. Above here is a staircase of books which take Mario up to some coins and a Hidden Block containing a Moneybag. Back down, there is a Koopa Troopa and a few more Goombas around some books, then a ? Block Mario can hit to reveal another 1-Up Heart which is stolen by another collector. In between a Venus Fire Trap and a Piranha Plant in pipes is the Mid-Point Bell.
After the checkpoint are two more Goombas and a ? Block which contains another Fire Flower. There is a Para-Goomba nearby, with coins below over more conveyor belts leading to more spikes. Up ahead are two more Para-Goombas and a few short walls of spikes. Finally, there is the pipe which takes Mario to the battle with the sewer rat.
