Kurio and Kuriko are two Paragoombas who attend elementary school in Super Mario Land 2 - 6-tsu no Kinka 3 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga. They have big eyes, Kurio has round eyebrows and a singular curled hair, while Kuriko has eyelashes and a ribbon on her head.

When Wario begins to commit crimes disguised as Mario to frame him, one of his first acts is to punch the two kids. Later, when Mario and his friends escape prison after being falsely accused, the police issue a public alert regarding the escape, and all shops close, leaving the heroes to starve on the street. To their rescue, having not fallen for Wario's trick, the two Paragoombas rescue the hero by giving them Yoshi Cookies, much to their gratitude.
