The Shogun Studios cosplayers are a trio of characters in Paper Mario: The Origami King. They are a Goomba, a Koopa Troopa, and a Snifit dressed up in traditional Japanese costumes. The Goomba wears a katsura, the Koopa Troopa is dressed in a white mustache and goatee, hat, and staff, and the Snifit is in a samurai outfit. The Goomba is specifically identified as female by one of Olivia's hints. While the Goomba and Snifit speak more formally using Japanese terms, the Koopa Troopa breaks character and has a more casual tone.
History[edit]
When Mario, Olivia, and Bob-omb first enter Shogun Studios, the place is deserted. The Goomba peeks out from a secluded area and calls them towards it, asking for help. There, the Koopa Troopa and Snifit are gathered. They explain that Folded Soldiers have invaded the park and trapped the park staff inside the Big Sho' Theater, and ask Mario to save them.
During the parade after the blue streamer is destroyed, all three of the cosplayers are seen celebrating.
At the Origami Festival at the end of the game, the Goomba cosplayer is seen walking with Birdo, while the Koopa Troopa cosplayer is seen admiring an origami statue. The Snifit cosplayer does not appear.
