Zombie Goombas appear in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Count Koopula", where they manufacture Count Koopula's tomato sauce in the bowels of his castle.
From afar, these Goombas resemble regular Goombas, though when seen up close, scars and stitches can be seen on them, and their eyebrows are comprised of three thin strands. The Goombas are also shown to have yellow sclerae. The Goombas are evidently not very intelligent, and are often shown to simply chant and mutter until alerted to something.
