Variant of | Gamboo |
Metal Gamboos[1] are conductive Gamboo variants introduced in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, appearing exclusively in Castle Bowser's four regular levels. Much like regular Gamboos, there are two color variants of Metal Gamboo with distinct behaviors: Silver Metal Gamboos,[1], which turn around on ledges like like Purple Gamboos; and Gold Metal Gamboos,[1] which walk off of ledges like Green Gamboos.
Metal Gamboos are immune to Fire Mario's fireballs, and can be charged by touching electrical hazards in the level High-Voltage Gauntlet. In this charged state, the player cannot touch them without taking damage, even if the enemy is in its stomped state. The only way to directly interact with them safely in this manner is by attacking them as either Drill Mario or Elephant Mario. Metal Gamboos will lose their electrical charge after a period of time.
