The "Hop Chop Splat Oh-no! Song"[1][2] is a promotional song used in marketing for Nintendo Southeast Asia to promote a set of various Nintendo Switch titles, with the first version from April 27, 2023 promoting Super Mario Odyssey ("Hop"), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild ("Chop"), Splatoon 2, Splatoon 3 ("Splat"), and Animal Crossing New Horizons ("Oh-no!");[1] while the second version from April 16, 2024 replaces Odyssey with Super Mario Bros. Wonder and adds footage from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.[2] The song is targeted towards and sung by young children, with a melody quoting the public domain songs Old MacDonald Had a Farm and Shave and a Haircut. The song also exists in Japanese,[3] Chinese,[4] and Korean.[5]
