"Isle Delfino",[2] also known as "Delfino Plaza",[3] is a musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario Sunshine, where it plays in Delfino Plaza. It is an Italian folk/tropical-styled composition in the key of A major. The melody alternates between guitar and accordion, while another guitar provides rhythm and an upright bass adds the pizzicato bassline.

Super Mario Sunshine marks the first appearance of "Isle Delfino". It is also included in the official albums Happy! Mario 20th - Super Mario Sound Collection, Super Mario History 1985-2010, The 30th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Music, and Super Mario Sunshine Original Soundtrack. The game also features six additional arrangements of the theme.

The jingle that plays in the episode-selection screen is a brief music box arrangement of "Isle Delfino". It is titled "Select Scenerio" in the Super Mario Sunshine Original Soundtrack album.

The theme that plays in Bianco Hills is an arrangement of "Isle Delfino" in the key of C major and in the style of European folk music. It is likewise titled "Bianco Hills" in the Super Mario Sunshine Original Soundtrack album. The theme makes prominent use of clarinet, flute, and oboe, accompanied by tambourine, castanets, and harp. The bass is played by a cello, and about two-thirds of the theme is played via pizzicato.

The theme that plays in Ricco Harbor is a ska-styled arrangement of "Isle Delfino" in the key of C major, with prominent saxophone and electric guitar instrumentation. It is likewise titled "Ricco Harbor" in the Super Mario Sunshine Original Soundtrack album.

The theme that plays in Gelato Beach is an arrangement of "Isle Delfino" in the key of C major and in the style of Trinidadian calypso, with prominent saxophone and steel drum instrumentation. It is likewise titled "Gelato Beach" in the Super Mario Sunshine Original Soundtrack album.

The theme that plays during the game's staff credits is an upbeat Latin arrangement of "Isle Delfino" with Brazilian percussion. It is titled "Staff Credits" in the Super Mario Sunshine Original Soundtrack album.

The theme that plays during the 100% completion picture is a brief, slow-paced arrangement of "Isle Defino". It is titled "Have a Relaxing Vacation!" in the Super Mario Sunshine Original Soundtrack album.

For "Isle Delfino", "Bianco Hills", "Ricco Harbor", and "Gelato Beach", a woodblock beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player rides a Yoshi.

"Isle Delfino" and all of the aforementioned arrangements return in the Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, for the same purposes.

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder and the Nintendo Switch 2 port, Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, the original version of "Isle Delfino" plays in the level Break Time! Bouncy Tunes. It is titled "Break Time! Tunes 2" in the Nintendo Music app. After clearing the level, the ending nine notes of "Isle Delfino" are played on the glockenspiel as coins appear at the corresponding note positions on the staff, with the final note being a Wonder Seed.

Mario Kart World[edit]

In Mario Kart World, a jazz manouche arrangement of "Isle Delfino" based on the arrangement from the "Mario & Zelda Big Band Live" concert series can play in Free Roam during the day and on VS Race routes coming from Mario Bros. Circuit, Whistlestop Summit, Koopa Troopa Beach, Peach Beach, Salty Salty Speedway, and Dandelion Depths during the day. It is titled "Delfino Plaza" in the game's pause menu.

A surf pop arrangement of "Bianco Hills" can play in Free Roam during the day, on the route from Whistlestop Summit to DK Spaceport in the Mushroom Cup, and on any VS Race route during the day.

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the original version of "Isle Delfino" can play in the Delfino Plaza stage. It is titled "Delfino Plaza" in the game's sound test. The woodblock beat that played when riding a Yoshi in Super Mario Sunshine is added to the instrumentation for the second loop of the theme.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U[edit]

The "Mario & Zelda Big Band Live" concert series featured a live jazz manouche arrangement of "Isle Delfino".
