"Funky's Fugue"[1][2] (known as "FUNKY KONG PAGE" in Japanese soundtracks) is a musical theme in Donkey Kong Country, where it plays in Funky's Flights. This theme was originally composed by Robin Beanland for an internal update video for Killer Instinct, another game developed by Rare.[3] Its later inclusion in Donkey Kong Country makes it the only piece by Beanland, who did not compose anything intended for the game, on the soundtrack.

Donkey Kong Country marks the first appearance of "Funky's Fugue". It is also included in the official albums DK Jamz, Super Donkey Kong Game Music CD Jungle Fantasy, Super Donkey Kong Original Sound Version, and Donkey Kong Country Trilogy.

In the Game Boy Color remake of Donkey Kong Country, a chiptune arrangement of "Funky's Fugue" plays for the same purpose as in the original game.

Unlike other themes in the game, "Funky's Fugue" is not present in the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country, being replaced with an original composition.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat[edit]

In Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and the Wii port, New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, the vocals from "Funky's Fugue" are incorporated into the theme that plays in the Opening Ceremony.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the original version of "Funky's Fugue" can play in any Super Smash Bros.-series and Donkey Kong-series stage. It also plays in the Funky Kong spirit battle.
