"Banshee Boardwalk",[1][2] also known as "Obake",[3] is a musical theme composed by Kenta Nagata for Mario Kart 64, where it plays in the race course of the same name. This theme incorporates an arrangement of "Ghost Valley" from Super Mario Kart approximately 28 seconds in, played on low strings with some legato.

Mario Kart 64 marks the first appearance of "Banshee Boardwalk". It is also included in the official soundtrack albums Mario Kart 64 Race Tracks and Mario Kart 64 Original Soundtrack.

In Mario Kart DS, an arrangement of "Banshee Boardwalk" arranged by Shinobu Nagata plays in N64 Banshee Boardwalk.

Mario Kart World[edit]
In Mario Kart World, a brief, quiet arpeggio resembling "Banshee Boardwalk" is incorporated approximately five seconds into the prelude of "Boo Cinema". It is likewise titled "Boo Cinema" in the game's pause menu.

The Mario Kart 64 on Club Circuit album features an arrangement of "Banshee Boardwalk" arranged by the Dance-Matics. It is titled "obake". This arrangement samples Boos laughing at the end.
