"Star World (Map Screen)"[1] is a musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario World, where it plays during the overworld map of the Star World. It is an arrangement of "Invincibility BGM" from Super Mario Bros., featuring instrumentation similar to that of its arrangement in Super Mario World. It is characterized by its slower tempo and modified melody: after the theme's two chords are cycled through three times, the melody resolves with the same note repeated five times.
