In WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, a short arrangement of "Gnat Attack: Level 1" plays in the Mario Paint: Fly Swatter microgame. Level 1 of the Fly Swatter minigame also features a full arrangement of "Gnat Attack: Level 1."

In Super Mario Maker, an arrangement of "Gnat Attack: Level 1" plays in level 1 of Gnat Attack. When playing level 1 of the hard difficulty added in version 1.20, a different arrangement of "Gnat Attack: Level 1" will play instead.

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, a medley by Taku Inoue of themes from Mario Paint, titled "Mario Paint Medley," incorporates an arrangement of "Gnat Attack: Level 1." This medley can play exclusively on the Miiverse stage. This medley returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where it can play in any Super Smash Bros.-series and Super Mario-series stage.
