"Beep Block Skyway"[1] is a musical theme composed for Super Mario 3D World, where it plays in the levels Beep Block Skyway and Blast Block Skyway. In the former level, the Blinking Blocks alternate every two bars of this theme, and every two beats in the latter. Due to the theme being 120 beats per minute, the Blinking Blocks take exactly four seconds to switch. This is also the only theme in the game to be sequenced and to pause along with the gameplay when the player takes damage to prevent the Blinking Blocks from desycing.

“The idea behind this tune was to imagine a recording session featuring traditional instruments alongside the beeping blocks in the game, which disappear and reappearing in tandem with other blocks. This version of the track is exclusive to this CD. Listen out for the jaunty bass line!”
