Greater location Lake Lapcat

Lucky Isle is a floating island that appears above Lake Lapcat in the Bowser's Fury campaign of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury after the main story has been completed. It has a small square wooden platform on it, paired with a short staircase to walk onto the platform. The left and right sides of the island are bordered by a fence. Every element of the island, be that the rocks most of the landmass is made of, the grass on top of the rocks, the wooden platform, and the fence, is golden.

When Fury Bowser is present, Lucky Isle comes down from the sky. The first time this happens, a cutscene shows Lucky Isle's arrival directly to the player. As with all terrain that only appears while Fury Bowser is present, Lucky Isle disappears as soon as Fury Bowser goes back into slumber.

Lucky Isle contains five Cat Shines, placed in a trapezoid pattern on the wooden platform. Because Fury Bowser is forced to retreat whenever a Cat Shine is collected, and this makes Lucky Isle vanish, Mario can only collect one Cat Shine per instance of Fury Bowser appearing. After all five Cat Shines have been collected, coin piles appear on the island instead. These coin piles are different for each of the possible places Lucky Isle can appear. The coin piles respawn when the save file is loaded or after Mario is defeated. Lucky Isle is never hit by falling spikes or Bowser's Flames. The island's fencing and wooden platform are tall enough to block fury blasts no matter where Mario is on Lucky Isle.

Locations[edit]

When Fury Bowser appears, Lucky Isle appears at one of five possible locations. The game chooses the one closest to Mario's location at the time Fury Bowser awakens for Lucky Isle to appear at. All five locations are marked on the game's map as the location of one Cat Shine each. After Mario has collected a Cat Shine at one location, Lucky Isle will stop appearing at that location until all five Cat Shines have been collected. This means in order to collect all five Cat Shines, Mario has to go to Lucky Isle at all five of its possible locations.
