"Snow Course",[2] also known as "Snow Mountain Theme",[3] is a musical theme composed by Asuka Hayazaki for Super Mario 3D Land, where it plays in the snow levels.

Super Mario 3D Land marks the first appearance of "Snow Course".

Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury[edit]

“This is a theme we also used for the icy mountains in SUPER MARIO 3D LAND. Wii U gave us a great opportunity to give it a more expansive arrangement. The rhythm is enhanced by the use of a bandoneon, which adds its distinctive tones to the music.”

In Super Mario 3D World and the Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, an arrangement of "Snow Course" arranged by Mahito Yokota with cleaner and softer instrumentation plays in Snowball Park and Ty-Foo Flurries. It is titled "Snowball Park" in the Nintendo Music app and the official Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack album. It is also included in the official album The 30th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Music.

Super Mario Maker 2[edit]

In Super Mario Maker 2, "Snowball Park" from Super Mario 3D World plays in Super Mario 3D World-style snow-themed courses. Moreover, an ambient Latin jazz arrangement of the theme plays while editing courses in the Course Maker with the aforementioned game style and course theme. It uses eight tracks that fade in and out randomly to create a dynamic mix.

In Mario Kart World, a Latin jazz arrangement of "Snow Course" can play in Free Roam during the day. It is titled "Snow Mountain Theme" in the game's pause menu.

On the Nintendo 3DS, the original version of "Snow Course" plays in the HOME Menu screen when the "A Merry Mario Holiday" theme is applied.

Nintendo Switch / Nintendo Switch 2[edit]

On Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, "Snowball Park" from Super Mario 3D World plays when viewing the "Happy Holidays" special notification on the Nintendo Switch Online application, which was only viewable from December 19, 2025 to December 25, 2025.
