"Run, Rambi! Run! (Parrot Chute Panic),"[1][2] also known as simply "Run, Rambi! Run!,"[3] is a musical theme composed by David Wise for Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Despite the title, this song does not play in the level it is named after, Parrot Chute Panic, but it instead plays during the chase sequence with King Zing in Rambi Rumble. It is one of the only level themes in the game not featured in the in-game sound test.
Arrangements[edit]
Donkey Kong Land 2[edit]
Donkey Kong Land 2 features a chiptune arrangement of "Run, Rambi! Run!" Unlike the original, it actually plays during the level Screech's Sprint, where it replaces "Bad Bird Rag." This game's version of Rambi Rumble does not feature this song, as there is no chase sequence.
Donkey Kong Country 2 (Game Boy Advance)[edit]
In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 2, "Run, Rambi! Run!" does not play during Rambi Rumble, with the chase sequence instead playing "Bad Bird Rag." However, an arrangement of the theme is still found in the sound test, which is the only place it can be heard in-game.[4]
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze[edit]
In Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port of the same name, several musical phrases from "Run, Rambi! Run" appear in the theme for the level Frantic Fields.
