- “If memory serves, this is the second piece I composed for the original game. It really set the tone for the rest of the music in the work. This track features a metronome sound, which we recorded in studio for the Switch version! Went the whole nine yards for this track. (LOL)”

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars marks the first appearance of "Hello, Happy Kingdom." It is also included in the albums Super Mario RPG Original Sound Version and Super Mario RPG Original Sound Box.
In the Nintendo Switch remake of Super Mario RPG, the original version of "Hello, Happy Kingdom" plays for the same purpose if the music is set to the "Classic" setting. If the music is set to the "Modern" setting, a new orchestral arrangement of the theme will play instead. This version of the theme was once again arranged by Yoko Shimomura, and it is also included in the official albums Super Mario RPG Original Soundtrack, Super Mario RPG Original Sound Box, and Super Mario RPG Original Sound Vinyl Box.

Exclusively in the vinyl release of The Super Mario Bros. Movie (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), a brief arrangement of "Hello, Happy Kingdom" is incorporated in the track "Bonus Level." This arrangement is not present in other releases of the soundtrack, and in The Super Mario Bros. Movie itself, "Mr. Blue Sky" is played during the scene instead.
