The Special Frog Coin, originally known as the Rare Frog Coin and alternatively written as RareFrogCoin due to character limits, is a special item in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its remake. It is a particular Frog Coin given by the Frog Sage to Mallow to buy a Cricket Pie in Mushroom Kingdom. However, it is stolen by Croco, so Mario helps Mallow get it back from Croco after chasing him down in Bandit's Way. Once it is recovered, the two can trade it at the town's shop after the Shymore invasion ends.
