Valor Up is a special move used by enemies and bosses in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars that increases one's physical and magical defense. The animation for the move is a blue column of light that surrounds the caster. Many bosses will use it after losing a set amount of HP. Some bosses are capable of using both this and Vigor up! in a single turn (Axem Red, Director, and Jinx are all capable of this), which results in an increase in attack power as well.
