A Fright Bomb is an attack item in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Using it summons Boos to scare one enemy. It inflicts 100 points of damage and may put Fear status on them. If the user has the "Attack Up" effect such as from Geno Boost or the Quartz Charm, the damage output is raised to 150. Mario can buy this item in Seaside Town for 100 coins and sell it for 50 coins. This item can also be obtained by exchanging items in Moleville.

Notes[edit]
- The Fright Bomb has an unused counterpart in the original game, Fear Bomb (きょうふボム), which frightens one ally. It, along with the other unused bombs that were likely meant for debugging, translates to a type of "bomb" as opposed to a "ball" in Japanese. This may indicate that Fright Bomb, Sleepy Bomb, Fire Bomb and Ice Bomb are English translations of earlier Japanese names, similar to Forest Maze.[1]
