—Very game-obsessed young Toad, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

The very game-obsessed young Toad[1] is an unnamed purple Mushroom person wearing sunglasses who appears in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. He is first seen in the Mushroom Kingdom inn playing with a Game Boy. If Mario talks to the very game-obsessed young Toad before visiting Marrymore, he will just yell at Mario, asking him to leave. However if he talks to the very game-obsessed young Toad after solving the troubles Booster is causing in Marrymore, he will sell him a Game Boy for 500 coins. Mario can then access the "Game" option on the menu screen, which allows the player to play the Beetle Mania minigame starring a star-shooting beetle. The very game-obsessed young Toad will keep playing his Game Boy after selling one to him, and if he talks to him, the very game-obsessed young Toad will teach Mario how to play the beetle minigame with no pay or deed whatsoever.
