Judge Kinopio is the announcer and referee of the P-1 Martial Arts Tournament in Super Donkey Kong with Mario 2 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga. He is a normal Toad with a star motif outfit and sunglasses.

After returning to Donkey Kong Island, King K. Rool decides to fight to the death with the Kong to decide who gets to rule over the island, but Princess Peach convinces him to take a less violent approach with a mixed martial arts tournament, appointing Judge Kinopio as the referee.

Impartial and unbiased, Judge Kinopio is able to follow the tournament without any issues and being fair in his judgement, by fouling and calling out for who breaks the rules, but also being fair in technicalities. While the rules forbid the use of weapons, when Manky Kong pulls out a nunchaku made of two tied bananas, he agrees that those are snacks and not an actual weapon. His only low moment is in the last chapter: when K. Rool breaks the arena and causes everyone on it to fall in the cave system down, he uses two Klap Traps to hold Mario down with their jaws and uses a Millstone to crush him: despite the forbidden use of a weapon and biting, Judge Kinopio refrains from calling it a foul, as he cannot see clearly due to his sunglasses and the dim lighting of the area, and sadly gives him the champions belt. However, when Mario and Donkey Kong remind him that he did not properly start the final match with a gong ring, he does foul K. Rool and restarts the match, which ends with Mario and the Kongs winning.
