Arrangements[edit]
Donkey Kong Country (Game Boy Color)[edit]
A chiptune arrangement of "Life in the Mines" appears in the Game Boy Color remake of Donkey Kong Country, which plays in the same levels as the original version.
Donkey Kong Country (Game Boy Advance)[edit]
In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country, an arrangement of "Life in the Mines" plays in the same levels as the original version. This rendition is much more compressed than the original and uses slightly different instrumentation.
Donkey Kong Country Returns[edit]
Donkey Kong Country Returns, as well as the Nintendo 3DS port, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, and the Nintendo Switch port, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, features several arrangements of "Life in the Mines" that play during various levels in the Factory world. The first, titled "Life in the Mines Returns" in the music gallery, is a faithful rendition of the original song with the machinery noises in the background of the original made much more prominent, and plays in the level Cog Jog.
Two more renditions play in the level Switcheroo; both of them are similar to "Life in the Mines Returns," but a techno-inspired beat replaces the original's background machinery noises. One version plays while the red platforms are active, and the other version plays while the blue platforms are active.
