History[edit]
Donkey Kong Country Returns (3D / HD)[edit]
In the opening cutscene of Donkey Kong Country Returns and its 3DS and Nintendo Switch ports, Wacky Pipes can be seen bursting out of one of the rocks ejected from Donkey Kong Island's volcano. It then hypnotizes a giraffe and a squirrel, as part of a plot to steal bananas across Donkey Kong Island.
The transition for being defeated in levels of the Forest depicts Wacky Pipes' silhouette, except for in Time Attack mode.
In the boss level of the Forest world, Mangoruby Run, once Mangoruby wakes up Wacky Pipes hypnotizes it to fight Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Once Mangoruby is defeated, Wacky Pipes is left dizzy and vulnerable to attack. Attacking it and knocking it into the distance completes the level, or it can be left to recover and fly away to the same effect.
In the final level of the game, Tiki Tong Terror, Wacky Pipes and the other high-ranking members of the Tiki Tak Tribe partake in a ritual converting them into hands for Tiki Tong. The hands are destroyed in the battle.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Wacky Pipes is part of the Tiki Tak Tribe spirit, which includes all of the members who hypnotize bosses in Donkey Kong Country Returns.
