amiibo Door
An amiibo Door is a type of door that appears in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. amiibo Doors behavs the same way as a normal Goal Door, but they are silver, have a picture of a Mini Toy's head on the front, and six colored trapezoids based on the logo for amiibo stick out from the edges. Only the Mini Toy depicted on a amiibo door can use it, but this is because they are always positioned such that that Mini Toy's special ability is required to reach it so it is more of a signal to the player than a rule with mechanical implications. Most amiibo Doors replace Goal Doors in levels of worlds that only one Mini Toy can enter, which makes the differences between the two doors moot. However, most of the game's main levels have a Goal Door and an amiibo Door. In these levels, finishing the level with the amiibo Door unlocks the first level of a world specific to the Mini Toy that used the door.
While the game's manual says amiibo Doors unlock levels specific to the Mini Toy that enters them,[1] this is a categorically false interpretation because the final level of each world specific to a Mini Toy has an amiibo Door. Using that door unlocks another one of the main levels, which are not restricted to specific Mini Toys.
