Bowling birds in Blowhole Bound

Bowling birds[1] are a species of bowling pin-shaped dodos[2] in Donkey Kong Country Returns (as well as its Nintendo 3DS port and its Nintendo Switch port). They are located in Blowhole Bound only, where three separate flocks can be encountered on the same island as the checkpoint booth. Bowling birds are harmless, and the Kongs can barrel-roll into them like a bowling ball to take them out. If a flock of bowling birds is taken out entirely with a single Barrel Roll, the player is rewarded with an item: The two flocks closest to the checkpoint booth produce a Banana Coin each, while the one farther ahead nets a bunch of 10 bananas instead. If the Kongs pound the ground around bowling birds, the latter tremble.
