"Valley of Bowser (Map Screen)"[1] is a musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario World, where it plays during the overworld map of the Valley of Bowser.

Super Mario World[edit]
Super Mario World marks the first appearance of "Valley of Bowser (Map Screen)". It returns for the same purpose in the port of the game included in Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World. It is also included in the official soundtrack album of the same name.

The Game Boy Advance remake of Super Mario World, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, contains its own arrangement of "Valley of Bowser (Map Screen)", which plays for the same purpose as in the original game.
Super Mario Maker 2[edit]
In Super Mario Maker 2, an arrangement of of "Valley of Bowser (Map Screen)" plays in on the map screen for Super Expert difficulty in the Endless Challenge mode. Additionally, the original composition is heard in the castle-themed worlds in the World Maker.
Super Mario World: Mario to Yoshi no Bōken Land[edit]
In Super Mario World: Mario to Yoshi no Bōken Land, the original version of "Valley of Bowser (Map Screen)" plays in the scene where Mario and Yoshi sneak aboard the Sunken Ghost Ship.
Super Mario World television series[edit]
In the Super Mario World television series, an arrangement of "Valley of Bowser (Map Screen)" arranged by Michael Tavera can be heard in every episode of the show, and is often accompanied by a unique xylophone countermelody. This arrangement often plays in scenes involving King Koopa or when a dangerous situation occurs in the show.
