Fireball[1] is a recurring sound effect that originally plays in Super Mario Bros. when Mario or Luigi throws a fireball.

Super Mario Bros. marks the first appearance of "Fireball". It is also featured in the Super Mario World album.

Super Mario World / Super Mario All-Stars / Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World[edit]

Super Mario World, alongside Super Mario All-Stars and its rerelease Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World, has an arrangement of "Fireball". It is also featured in the game's official soundtrack.

Paper Mario: The Origami King[edit]

In Paper Mario: The Origami King, an arrangement of "Fireball" plays when Mario throws fireballs or ice balls. If he has the Retro Soundbox equipped, the original sound effect from Super Mario Bros. plays instead.
