Super Mario Bros.: The Great Ladder Race Game is a board game released in 1989 by Tiger Electronics. The game is branded after Super Mario Bros., and features figurines of Mario and Luigi. While they are dressed in their typical colors on the game's box, the figurines are dressed in entirely red and green clothing, respectively.

Details[edit]

Each player places their figurine at the top of their ladder. To make the characters move downward, players must swing their ladders so that the characters begin flipping down the rungs. The player who has their figurine reach the bottom of the ladder first wins. The instructions also state that the angle at which the player is to swing the ladder will change as the token gets lower on the ladder. Additionally, if the figurine falls off the ladder, the player is to place it back on the top rung of the ladder unless it is below the centermost rung; in that case, the player is to place the figurine onto the center rung.
