Super Mario Balancing Game: Underground Stage is a balancing game based on the Super Mario franchise that was manufactured by Epoch Games in 2020.[2] The manufacturer's recommended age for the game is four years and older. The game features four balancing game pieces, a die, and four Link System character figures that depict Super Mario characters: Mario, Luigi, a Spike, and a Buzzy Beetle.
Setup[edit]
The player begins by assembling the balance, with the small stage being placed over a support, placed over the larger stage which is placed on the balancing part. The game can be made easier by omitting the small stage and support, playing only with the larger stage.
Gameplay[edit]
On every turn, the player rolls the die and places the number of figures indicated on the die onto the balance, with play then passes to the player on their left. Once all figures have been placed on the balance, when a player rolls the die, instead of placing more figures on the balance, the player must remove the number of figures indicated on the die. This removing of figures continues until all of the figures have been removed from the balance, at which point players begin placing figures on the balance as before. Players continue placing and removing figures from the balance until one player knocks a figure off the balance, who is eliminated from the game. Play continues until only one player is left in the game, with that player being declared the winner.
