Super Mario Top Trumps Match is a board game released as part of the Top Trumps Match series by Top Trumps in 2021. Despite this, the game's box and components are dated 2019.
Gameplay[edit]
After placing the character cubes in the game grid, shuffling the cards, and placing four of the cards in all the card spaces, the youngest of the two players goes first. One player pushes the top left cube out of the grid and the other player picks up that cube and uses it to push out another cube and replace it. Whoever matches five characters in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally and shouts "MATCH!" wins. If the characters the player has matched match one of their character cards, they receive 2 points instead of 1. The losing player can "snatch" the other player's match by showing their 2 cards. If one of their cards matches the winning character, they can steal the other player's 2 points. Once the game is over, the players are encouraged to reset and continue until 5 or 6 points are earned.
The instructions also show rules for a "5 MINUTE MATCH", where the drawn cards are faced down instead of faced up. When the game ends, if the cards drawn feature the character with the winning row, they get 2 points.
