Harahara Tower Game is a furoku balancing game released in 1990. The game was included with an issue of the Shōgaku Ichinensei magazine. Like many furoku games, Harahara Tower Game is made entirely out of cardboard.

Details[edit]

The object of the game is to stack all of the provided pieces into a tower shape without knocking them over. The game features pieces themed after both the Super Mario franchise (which are placed in the middle of the tower) and Doraemon (which are placed on the other levels). Each segment of the tower features multiple cardboard pieces of characters from one of the two franchises, in addition to a flat piece separating the layer from the next. Said piece also features artwork pertaining to one of the two franchises. In the case of the Super Mario franchise, the character pieces are Mario and Luigi, while the flat piece is Mario standing between two sets of Hard Blocks. Upon completing the tower, a figurine of Doraemon is placed atop the tower.
