Nintendo All-Star Battle Cards is a card game that was made available in 1997 with the 63rd[2] issue of Nintendo Official Magazine. The game's cards feature artwork of characters from various first- and third-party Nintendo games, in addition to stats for each character. These include a character's height, speed, power, "Star Quality", and "Game Fame". With the exception of height, each of these stats can be anywhere from one to 20. The game is played identically to Top Trumps, in that players are to compare their cards and whoever has the card with higher stats beats the other. A "Power Card" featuring artwork of Metal Mario is also included, which has overall better stats than the other cards.
