Super Mario 3D Daibōken is a furoku ball-in-a-maze game released in 2014. The game is themed after Super Mario 3D World, and was included with an issue of the Shōgaku Ichinensei magazine. Like many furoku games, the game is made entirely out of cardboard.

Gameplay[edit]

The object of the game is to roll the provided red ball to the Goal Pole at the end of the level. The game's official webpage states that the ball will "bounce up" when the player reaches the goal.[1] To reach the goal, the player must roll the ball across various elements in the course, including multiple bridges emblazoned with artwork of characters, enemies, and items appearing in Super Mario 3D World, a cardboard tunnel styled after a Clear Pipe, and a turntable featuring artwork of Mario and a Super Bell. Multiple pockets are also placed throughout the course, all of which can be pressed on to launch the ball upward. One of these pockets is located directly before the goal, and features artwork of Bowser and his Muscle Car. This pocket is themed after castle levels in the Super Mario franchise.
