"The Great Tower Showdown 1",[1][2] also known as simply "Final Boss",[3] is a musical theme composed by Mahito Yokota for Super Mario 3D World, where it plays during the first phase of the final boss battle against Meowser in The Great Tower of Bowser Land.

Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury[edit]

Super Mario 3D World marks the first appearance of "The Great Tower Showdown 1", and it returns in the Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, for the same purpose. It is also included in the official Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack album.

Super Mario Maker 2[edit]

In Super Mario Maker 2, the original version of "The Great Tower Showdown 1" plays whenever the "Final Boss" sound effect is triggered in Super Mario 3D World-style levels.
