“It's always fun coming up with a cute little tune. It's been quite a while since we've created a theme for a new character. Hopefully this is one we'll be hearing more of in the future.”
Liner notes in the Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack

"Sprixie Princess Theme"[1][2] is a musical theme composed for Super Mario 3D World, where it plays in Sprixie Houses. Much like "Super Bell Hill" and "A Boss Approaches", this theme is used as a recurring motif throughout the game (although to a much lesser extent), mainly being used in cutscenes related to the Sprixie Princesses.

“This music plays as the Sprixie Princess creates a new pipe for you to go through, allowing you to continue your adventure. We came up with this little tune which we hope suits the moment.”

“As you rescue the Sprixie Princess, you are greeted by a bright new dawn. We aimed to portray that feeling with this music.”
Liner notes for "Final Curtain for Meowser" in the Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack
“It's time for the final curtain, so we pulled out all the stops. You may think we're laying it on a bit thick, but it has to be done, doesn't it?”
Liner notes for "Grand Finale" in the Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack

Super Mario 3D World marks the first appearance of "Sprixie Princess Theme". It is also included in the official Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack album. The game also features several arrangements of the theme.

An arrangement of the intro of "Sprixie Princess Theme" plays immediately upon exiting a castle level after completing it for the first time (except for Bowser's Lava Lake Keep). Another arrangement then plays during the cutscene in which the Sprixie Princess that was just saved builds the Clear Pipe for the player to access the next world. It is titled "On to the Next World" in the Nintendo Music app and the Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack album.

An arrangement of "Sprixie Princess Theme" plays after Meowser is defeated and all of the Sprixie Princesses break out of his bottle, and in the area following the battle. It is titled "Final Curtain for Meowser" in the Nintendo Music app and the Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack album.

An arrangement of "Sprixie Princess Theme" plays after completing The Great Tower of Bowser Land. It is titled "Grand Finale" in the Nintendo Music app and the Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack album.

Finally, an arrangement of "Sprixie Princess Theme" plays when the Sprixie Princesses are about to build the rocket for the player to access World Star. It is titled "Up to the Sky" in the Nintendo Music app and the Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack album.

"Sprixie Princess Theme" and its arrangements return in the Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, for the same purpose.
