Quotes from
Several themes in the game
“Disaster strikes as the lovable Sprixie Princess is kidnapped by Bowser. Peach gives chase, leaping into a giant pipe, and Mario and his friends have no choice but to follow. This is the music that plays as the story gets under way. It features a musical motif at several points that you'll hear repeated throughout the game.”
—Liner notes in the Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack

History[edit]

Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury[edit]

Super Mario 3D World marks the first appearance of "Sprixie Kingdom", and it returns in the Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, for the same purpose. It is also included in the official Super Mario 3D World Original Soundtrack album.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker[edit]

Exclusively in the Wii U version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, the original version of "Sprixie Kingdom" plays during the after-credits scene, which is remade from the opening cutscene of Super Mario 3D World. "Sprixie Kingdom" does not appear in the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS ports, as the after-credits scene is replaced with a scene representing Super Mario Odyssey. The internal file name of this track incorrectly lists Naoto Kubo as the composer.
