Famicom Janken Cards
The cards

Famicom Janken Cards are a series of collectible rock-paper-scissors cards released in 1987[1] by Shogakukan. The cards were published in the June 1986 issue of the Shōgaku Ichinensei magazine. Various characters are depicted are the cards, ranging from Mario and Bowser to Ultraman.

Details[edit]

The object of the game is similar to that of rock-paper-scissors, albeit played with cards. Upon cutting out the cards, players are to each show each other their chosen card. The player that shows the card features a symbol that beats the other (such as paper versus rock or scissors versus paper) wins the round. If both players choose a card that has the same symbol, they are to look for a number printed on each card. The card with the higher number wins the round. Additional cards appear to have been printed, as the game suggests that the players "collect them all".
