The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Collectible Cards
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Collectible Cards are a series of digital collectible cards available via a page on the Nintendo Today! app starting on March 10, 2026. They were announced during The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct on March 9. As the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary celebration is currently ongoing, 40 different cards are available to collect in total.
Each of the cards features artwork of a character or object from The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, a description of the corresponding character/object, and videos of that character/object's representative games with the user's age at the time of the games' releases (except "About The Super Mario Galaxy Movie", which features the film's final trailer and a story summary). A new, random card is available to the user each day upon opening the Nintendo Today! app, with the exception of the "Mario" and the "About The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" cards, which are already available on March 10. Users will be able to collect a new card daily until June 10, 2026.[1] After the user has collected all 40 cards, the cards will transform into variants with golden borders known as "Gold Cards", which display slightly more content. Additionally, the cards have categories, such as "Villains" and "Misc".
A pack containing physical versions of five cards will be given at Japanese theaters showing the film.[2]
