Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park is an enhanced port of Super Mario Bros. Wonder set to be released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 26, 2026, as part of the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary celebration. First announced during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct, the port will include new multiplayer co-op and competitive game modes along with the appearance of characters such as Rosalina and Co-Star Luma[1], the Koopalings, the Baby Yoshis, and Brigade Blue Toad.[11]
As with other "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" software, owners of the original Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be able to purchase the additional content as DLC via an upgrade pack once it comes out. Conversely, the base game can be played on the original Nintendo Switch if the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition cartridge is inserted.

Co-Star Luma |
Co-Star Luma returns from Super Mario Galaxy 2 as an assistant type character, available when two or more players are playing locally. | They can freely fly around the screen and spin to defeat enemies. Other changes
Gameplay
- An Assist Mode has been added to the game. It prevents the player from taking any damage and allows them to float with a Propeller Flower after falling into a pit.
- amiibo support is now added, and scanning them rewards in-game items.
Aesthetic
- The UI for the character selection screen has a few changes:
- The background that the characters sit on is now entirely gray, rather than having the Yoshis and Nabbit's portion of it being dark teal.
- The text box that originally said "Yoshis and Nabbit won't take damage, but they also won't transform with power-ups." now says "Yoshi and Nabbit do not take damage and will not transform with power-ups." Additionally, the text box has been moved to the bottom of the screen rather than right underneath the Yoshis and Nabbit's character icons.
Miscellaneous
- The game is now translated to Polish and Thai, two languages the original was not available in, as at the time, Nintendo of Europe did not do Polish translations, and Nintendo Singapore and Nintendo Thailand did not yet exist.

Camp Central
Camp Central is another explorable area in Bellabel Park. It consists of a single circular area and features the Toad Brigade Training Camp, as well as a large archway which holds seven Bellabel Flowers, along with a larger central one. During the events of the mode, the Koopalings steal the seven Bellabel Flowers from Bellabel Park, and Captain Toad and a similarly-dressed Poplin help the player find them. Each Koopaling hides in a different world of the Flower Kingdom, and the player must use reports from other characters to locate the levels they are hidden in. Once they are found, they use Wonder powers to transform into different forms and battle the player. Each world now features a new level type, called Brigade Tent, which keep track of that world's Bellabel Flower instead of Wonder Seeds.[11][1]
New levels
- Pipe-Rock Plateau Brigade Tent[11]
- Wendy's Showdown! - A version of Piranha Plants on Parade featuring Wendy using Wonder powers to transform into a large Cheep Cheep-like creature.[1]
Toad Brigade Training Camp
At the Toad Brigade Training Camp, players can take on extra challenges set in courses from the main game. Completing challenges awards the player with a new light blue water drop-shaped currency and patches which represent the player's rank in the Toad Brigade.[1] These challenges include:
- "Collect coins in time!"
- "Defeat enemies in time!"
- "Clear course in time!"
- "Clear course and stay invincible!"
- Rolling-Ball Hall
- Welcome to the Flower Kingdom!
- "Extra training"
