Wubba Mario[1] is one of the forms Mario takes under the Wonder Flower's Wonder Effects in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. While in this form, the character is transformed into a Wubba, allowing them to stick to walls and ceilings and move across them, while retaining the abilities to Wall Jump and Ground Pound. The player starts out larger than a regular enemy Wubba, but if they take damage, they shrink to a normal Wubba, even as a Yoshi or Nabbit. If they take a hit as a normal Wubba, they are defeated. The form appears in three full levels: An Uncharted Area: Wubba Ruins, A Final Uncharted Area: Poison Ruins, and Deep Magma Bog Palace, and is required to progress when playing through the small story-centric stage Operation Poplin Rescue.
Wubba Mario and Luigi are colored red and green, respectively, and retain their hats, nose, and mustache. Peach and Daisy are colored pink and orange, respectively, and retain their crowns, while also having small eyelashes. Yellow Toad, Blue Toad, and Toadette are colored yellow, blue, and pink, respectively, and retain their beady eyes and mushroom caps. The Yoshis are colored after their respective colors and retain their snouts and spines. Nabbit is colored purple and retains his ears, while also having two separate eyes resembling Nabbit's own eyes.
