Mario is Missing! CD-ROM Deluxe is an enhanced port of Mario is Missing! Due to the differences in formatting, the CD-ROM is able to hold more data than the floppy disk version, allowing for enhancements to be made.

Differences[edit]

Mario is Missing! CD-ROM Deluxe included voice acting for its characters, in addition to providing live-action footage for the backgrounds of some of the different cities that the player can visit. The CD-ROM includes 127 different video clips. In addition, characters from the Super Mario franchise replace some of the non-playable characters during phone calls that appeared in the previous release; however, none of the written dialogue was modified to reflect this change. In addition, the game also adds loading screens, which show during short moments of darkness.
