The stone from the Obelisk is a stone stolen by Koopa Troopas from the Obelisk Monument in Buenos Aires. When Luigi visits the city, he must defeat the Koopa carrying it and return the stone to the Obelisk's information booth.

- Boy: "That stone is from an obelisk. You can climb this one with little risk."
- Tourist: "That's part of a tall monument to Buenos Aires. Climb it outside and it might be scary."
- Business Woman:
- "You have a stone from the obelisk. You can climb it inside, if you wish."
- "You have a stone from the Obelisk. You can climb to the top and look out the windows, if you wish." (NES)
- Scientist: "When they used that to build the Obelisk, Argentina's capital was already 400 years old."
- Police Officer: "Monumental detective work. That missing stone made a hole in the Obelisk Monument."
