Icon of an audio speaker. Bangkok mayor - "This is Mayor Mayhem. I'm a little shell-shocked, let me tell you. I turn my back for one second, and the city is being trashed by turtles! The must-see sites are suddenly stolen! The gotta-see-its are gone! Luigi, get a quarter; read the paper; see for yourself! You'll help, won't you?"

Icon of an audio speaker. Budapest mayor - "Luigi, you're sure a sight for sore peepers! Listen, this is Mayor Ned. I can't sleep, can't eat, can't even watch TV! There are terrible things afoot in my beloved burg. The papers are reporting that landmarks are no longer where the maps say they should be. Tourism is down. Turtle trouble is way up. Can you help? Can you pitch in? Can you lend a hand and put a scare into those rambunctious reptiles?"

Icon of an audio speaker. Montreal mayor - "Mayor Ike Can. Do understand, Mister Luigi, I've heard some good things about you, and that's good news, because lately all I've been hearing is bad news and that's bad news! We've got a serious burglar bungle on our hands and that's bad news too. What to do? I'm asking you. The lengthy list of landmarks on my desk has turned up missing. Not the list, mind you, but the landmarks, I'll remind you, are all missing; that's more bad news, but now I'm confused and I could really use you to help, so you will, right?"

Icon of an audio speaker. Montreal mayor - "Luigi. You've saved our city from the Koopas, and the people are grateful. Thank you, good luck and good bye! And say hi to Mario when you find him!"

Icon of an audio speaker. Hong Kong mayor - "Finally, the cavalry has arrived! Your work is cut out for you. This is Mayor Millie Stone. The natives are revolting, Luigi, and I can't stand them. I mean, I can't BLAME them. All of our beautiful landmarks are missing off the mark. We've been bamboozled by a band of puny tortoises and we must muster the troops and get them back. I've heard you're the best Koopa cowboy around. I can count near you—I mean, ON you, can't I?"

Icon of an audio speaker. Jakarta mayor - "Don't sit down, plumber pal. Don't say anything. There is no time to waste. Mayor May Ormaynot here. Get the paper and see for yourself. We'll all be talking turtle soon if you don't help rid the joint of Koopas. They're unabashedly undermining my mayoral authority. They're taking off with landmarks and other governmental goodies. Give me your personal promise, plumber, that you'll help. Please, with a cherry on top?"

File info
Icon of an audio speaker. Washington, D.C. mayor - "Welcome to the capital city, Luigi. If you're talking to me, Mayor Juan Abet, then you've seen the headlines and you've read the small print. It's those tacky turtles. They're crawling over this metropolis like reptiles. They're attacking the very foundations of our artifacts and stealing the things right off their foundations. This does not look good for our citizens, our tourists, and other inhabitants. Frankly, Luigi, I'm a little nervous, and, to be frank, I'm counting on your help to put it all back like it was! I'm the mayor, and what I want, I get, and now I want my mommy!"

File info
Icon of an audio speaker. Lima mayor - "Luigi, this is Willy Runagain, mayor of this city. I'm supposed to safeguard the goodies around here, and I'm losing big time to a pack of midget turtles. I'm embarrassed to show up at little league! If I try to kiss a baby, they spit in my eye! You read the paper yet? Little looting greenback tortoises are taking everything that's not nailed down. I heard you've got the right stuff. Can you help me clean up this plague?"

Icon of an audio speaker. Baghdad mayor - "Smooth move, Luigi. You are speaking to Mayor Furlife. You've gotta read the papers. This city is a mess! Landmarks are here and there and then nowhere! I'll pay you whatever you ask! You've got a reputation as a Koopa catcher! Can we count on you?"
File info
Icon of an audio speaker. Baghdad mayor - "Luigi. You've saved our city from the Koopas, and the people are grateful. Thank you, good luck and good bye! And say hi to Mario when you find him!"
File info
Icon of an audio speaker. Helsinki mayor - "Hello, Luigi. This is Mayor Du Fosse. Welcome. Sit down, take notes, and listen. I have to admit, we're having a tad of trouble in town, and I kind of suspect it's turtles. The reason I suspect it's turtles is there have been 316 eyewitness reports in the last few days and everybody says they've seen turtles. Landmarks are walking out of here. Enormous landmarks do not leave on their own, which is another reason I suspect turtles. Read the paper, man! We're overrun with turtles. I'd like to know you're in our corner. Did you just see a turtle run by?!"
