Mayor A. Cheever is a character exclusive to the PC version of Mario is Missing!, appearing as the fictional mayor of Istanbul, Turkey. His name is a pun of "achiever".
Like all other mayors in the game, they contact Luigi via videophone upon his arrival in the city, as well as after all of the artifacts in the area have been returned to their rightful locations. In the first call, Mayor A. Cheever calls Luigi, "Luig", and informs him about the newspaper about turtles.
Once all of the artifacts have been recovered, Luigi receives a second call from Mayor A. Cheever, who thanks him for saving the city from the Koopas and wishes him luck on the rest of his adventure. He calls Luigi by his name rather than "Luig".
At the time of their appearance, the officeholder in real life was Nurettin Sözen.
