Baby Waluigi, simply referred to as Waluigi in Adventure mode, is an unlockable playable character in Mario Tennis Fever and the baby form of Waluigi. He can be unlocked by winning the doubles Star Cup tournament. He has eyes similar to Baby Wario and wears a purple tennis shirt dark blue shorts, and orange shoes, the same color as Waluigi. Like him, Baby Waluigi is a Defensive character. His power and spin, both rated at 2 out of 5, are stronger than his speed and control, which are both rated at 1.5 out of 5. He also has an extra strong flat shot.
Baby Waluigi is the first new baby character to be introduced to the Super Mario franchise since Baby Rosalina in Mario Kart 8 nearly 12 years prior, also marking the longest gap between the debut of a character and their baby counterpart, at 25 years and 6 months. He is also the first baby character to be introduced in a Mario Tennis game, similar to how Waluigi himself was first introduced in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64.
In the game's Adventure Mode, Baby Waluigi is the form of Waluigi after he is transformed alongside Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, and Baby Wario while trying to find the golden fruit. He is then sent to the Mushroom Tennis Academy where he refuses to participate in tennis lessons, as he believes he is still skilled enough as a baby. Alongside Baby Wario, the duo plays against Baby Mario and Baby Luigi many times throughout their training at the academy, later following them back to the island in order to return to normal. On board Princess Peach's airship, Baby Wario and Baby Waluigi use Flame Rackets in a match against Baby Mario and Baby Luigi in order to light several fires around the ship. They then escape via parachute, leaving Baby Mario to stop the flames.
Baby Wario and Baby Waluigi later appear on Bowser's battleship, revealing they have allied with Bowser. They fight against Baby Mario and Baby Luigi again as the battleship fires Bullet Bills at them. With Bowser's forces fighting off the monsters at the island, Baby Wario and Baby Waluigi then arrive before the others, and get through the Ice Ruins on their own. The pair face off one last time against Baby Mario and now Daisy after Petey Piranha is defeated. After their final defeat, they are not seen again until the credits sequence, which shows Wario and Waluigi returning to their adult forms after King Scuttlebug's defeat.
