Baby Waluigi is a character who first appears in Mario Tennis Fever. He is Waluigi after having been transformed into an infant during the events of the Adventure mode. He has eyes similar to Baby Wario and wears orange shoes, the same color as his adult counterpart's.[1]
Baby Waluigi is the first new baby character to be introduced to the Super Mario franchise since Baby Rosalina in Mario Kart 8 nearly 12 years prior, also marking the longest gap between the debut of a character and their baby counterpart, at 25 years and 6 months. He is also the first baby character to be introduced in a Mario Tennis game, similar to how Waluigi himself was first introduced in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64.
Like his adult counterpart, Baby Waluigi is a Defensive character. His power and spin, both rated at 2 out of 5, are stronger than his speed and control, which are both rated at 1.5 out of 5.[2]
