Kōichi-kun is a talent for Mario Artist: Talent Studio who appears in the movie "Boku no Banchō", importable from the Omake no Sakuhin menu of Mario Artist: Communication Kit. He has black hair and wears green sneakers and blue overalls under an orange shirt depicting a face with green eyes and yellow hair. According to his talent no namae profile, his occupation is being a "little boy".
In "Boku no Banchō", while Kōichi-kun is running to get a new teddy bear before it sells out, he is called by Warui Hito A, who asks for Kōichi's wallet with the excuse of buying the new teddy bear for him (although his real intention is to rob Kōichi). After Kōichi refuses and Warui Hito A attempts to rob him, Warui Hito A is suddenly punched by the Banchō. Kōichi then thanks the Banchō for saving him, but he is also punched, and the Banchō says that he is not "a real man".
